Herons Blown Linseed Oil additive helps with the flow and leveling properties of our paint. It will increase the gloss, leveling, holdout and water resistance of the coat. Blown Linseed Oil is quite viscous and adding too much to our paint tends to make the paint feel sticky and harder to pull under the brush. Pre-oxidized oils can cause accelerated yellowing/darkening of lighter films, but sunlit locations retain their color longer.
It’s quite expensive for my budget, so I have to get it a little at a time until I have enough for my project. The price will be worth it just in the fact that I may not have to do anything again for a very long time.
Natural, healthy, and high quality linseed oil, tung oil, and finishing wax. I love the tone of the finish on the Greenland kayak paddles that I have recently made. Feels great to the touch as well!
