Heron Double Boiled Linseed Oil is the fastest drying oil we make. It's useful as an additive to our regular paint line for thinning and decreasing the cure time if weather conditions are less than favorable. Remember to keep your coats thin if our Double Boiled Oil is added to our paint. Too-thick coats can skin over; causing wrinkling and an uncured film. Our Double Boiled Linseed Oil starts out incredibly clean with good drying properties. This allows us to use manganese driers sparingly. For a manganese free option, try our Heat Bodied Oil.
It’s quite expensive for my budget, so I have to get it a little at a time until I have enough for my project. The price will be worth it just in the fact that I may not have to do anything again for a very long time.
